Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma has responded to criticism that Team India has an advantage in the ICC Champions Trophy by playing all its matches at the Dubai International Stadium. Addressing a press conference ahead of India’s semi-final clash against Australia on March 4, Sharma dismissed claims that the venue provides any undue benefit to his team.

“Is Dubai Stadium our home ground? It’s new for us, just as it is for every other team. Every match here is a fresh challenge because we are given a different pitch each time. So far, we have played three matches on three different pitches. The stadium has four or five pitches, and I don’t even know which one will be used for the semi-final. Rather than focusing on the pitch, we are concentrating on adapting to the overall conditions,” Sharma stated.

India and Australia will face off in the first semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy on March 4 at the Dubai International Stadium.
