BIG BLOW For Lucknow Super Giants As Mayank Yadav Set To Miss First Half Of Season – The Shocking Reason Revealed! News24 –

IPL 2025: The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are facing a significant setback ahead of the IPL 2025 season, as key fast bowler Mayank Yadav will miss the initial matches due to injury. Mayank, who impressed with his stellar performances in IPL 2024, has been sidelined after picking up a lumbar stress injury during a T20 match against Bangladesh while playing for Team India. He is still some way off from his full fitness return since then.

Tough Times For Mayank Yadav

Mayank started bowling at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) but looks unlikely to make it in time for the beginning of the season. There isn’t a definitive timeline for a return, although it is expected that he might be back by the end of the IPL season.

Mayank Was Retained By LSG-Management

The Lucknow Super Giants had retained Mayank for Rs 11 crore before the mega auction, knowing his potential to turn games with his pace, often clocking speeds over 150 km/h. His absence will undoubtedly be a blow to the team’s bowling attack, and new captain Rishabh Pant will surely be disappointed by the setback.

With four matches in a season where his impact has indeed been telling despite playing a much-reduced match, Mayank’s presence for the first phases of IPL 2025 surely is missed for the side on the field.
