IPL 2025: Matthew Wade joins Gujarat Titans support staff | Cricket News
NEW DELHI: Prior to the 2025 Indian Premier League, the Gujarat Titans have appointed former Australia wicketkeeper Matthew Wade as their assistant coach.
Wade played for GT for two seasons, in 2022 and 2024, however after retiring from international cricket, he was not included in the IPL mega auction.
“Champion. Fighter. Now our Assistant Coach! Welcome back to the GT Dugout, Matthew Wade!,” Gujarat Titans wrote on X.
Wade played 12 of his 15 IPL games for GT, and under Hardik Pandya‘s captaincy, he was a member of the team that won the title in 2022.
Wade will become a member of GT’s coaching team, joining head coach Ashish Nehra, batting coach Parthiv Patel, and assistant coaches Aashish Kapoor and Narender Negi.
